carmen and kattuppa - wandsworth town hall, london.

This has to be one of the coolest weddings I have shot so far. The energy of the day was amazing and I enjoyed every minute of it, apart from perhaps the boiling hot weather!

Carmen and Kutts got married at the beautiful Wandsworth Town Hall in London. They got married in The Grand Chamber, which as the name suggests, is the largest room available at Wandsworth Town Hall.

It all got very real and emotional for the Groom Kutts!

I have shot a wedding at this location before, for Barry and Sonia’s wedding, so thankfully I was completely familiar with the layout and potential shots. The grand staircase is a beautiful spot for photos immediately after the ceremony. It was a bright sunny day without a cloud in the sky, so the skylight in the grand hallway lit the scene beautifully for this occasion.

Following the ceremony, we headed to Clapham Common for what was my favourite part of the day. Guests arrived at an enclosed area under a nice and shady tree canopy where there were cushions and mini tables arranged on the grass, along with stunning decorations by the events company SimplyPartiesEvents. I absolutely loved their design. It was really simplistic, subtle but stylish. It had a festival vibe to it which I thought was brilliant for this setting. Anyone that knows Clapham Common, knows that it can be a very busy and loud common, but what the events company and Carmen and Kutts did made the reception feel private, intimate and beautiful. My hat goes off to them all!

Shots! Shots! Shots!

The reception in Clapham Common included all the traditional wedding events, including a cake cutting, first dance and speeches. There was even a picnic arranged with the amazing good packages from Thyme & Date, which went down very well indeed!

The Common was also a surprisingly beautiful location to get some portrait shots with just the bride and groom. There are areas that can suggest that the couple is in the middle of a nature walk!

I love simple weddings and this is up there with the best of them. Lovely people, lovely location, lovely wedding. May they continue!
